The Devil’s Violin: The Beast In Me

The Devil’s Violin return!   Since their inception in 2006, they have developed a huge following for their gripping and powerful storytelling.   Their new show, The Beast in Me, features their trademark fusion of timeless story and beautiful live music, as well as a few surprises!  Imagine a world where the lines separating humanity and animals have blurred, in which dark forests contain refuge as well as danger, and where blood is not always thicker than water.

Who is the stranger who waits at the crossroads?  Why does a man have a wing for an arm? Why does the filthy stranger wear a bear’s skin, and why do his pockets overflow with gold?

Shot through with mysterious imagery, The Beast in Me with is an unforgettable tale of the calamitous impact of chance and the redemptive power of love.

This show continues The Devil’s Violin’s reputation of blending storytelling and music and will  appeal to fans of music, storytelling, theatre, those living in rural and deprived communities as well as those living in urban centres looking to reconnect with the ancient art form of storytelling.

The Devil’s Violin features Daniel Morden (story), Oliver Wilson-Dickson (violin) and Sarah Moody (cello) telling the story of The Beast In Me, in a masterfully woven tapestry of stories about our perception of beauty and the value of kindness.
